  1. Do you want to work in an Early Intervention Program? There are no special ed services in regular daycare centers.  I thind I understand what you are lookiing for. You want to work with the special ed infant population. If that is the case you need to call ACR in your local area, The Association for Retarded Citizens, they are advocates and will tell you all of the programs that are available in your area. In some states ARC offers child care for infants and toddlers. You may want to pay them a visit. Good Luck!

  2. there are no special ed classes in daycare

you would get a special ed or related degree (early elementary, physical therapy, speech tehrapy, occupatinal tehrapy, pyschology, etc)

there is a college in my state that has a masters degree program for ealry intervention and preschool

you may be able to be hired as an aide in your state Early Intervention program before you get your college degree

Children under 3 receive Early Intervention--generally in their homes--or at their daycare

children over 3 receive services at school

there are limited special needs daycares--suchg as medical daycares

or do you mean you are in special education and would like to take classes to become a daycare teacher-

an aide can be hired with just a high school diploma--a day care teacher needs a 2 year college degree (CDA)
