Can someone tell me how to put pix on a site?

I can't put my picture on a site that I'm on, where it says browse I click on the pix I want and nothing, I can't get to go to that site. If you do know the answer to this you'll have to explain it to me in detail, as I'm not a pc expert, far from it!!!!!!!!!!!

different site have different browse/ upload tools, newer uploading  pop-ups are java or flash based, and may be slower to transfer,

also make sure type of format is acceptable, jpg, gif or png, if image is jpg, and not working try editing copy and re load,
