Can someone tell me how to untag pictures?

Ok so i have a picture that i has a background and words on it and i want the orignal picture back, so can someone tell me how to do that please????

  1. It depends on just how the background and words are placed and what format the picture is saved in.

    If it is a JPEG and the background and text are saved as a part of that file, your only option is manually going ito the picture and editing it. That is pretty mch a pixel by pixel edit if you want it to look like the unmodified original.

    If the picture was saved in another format that supports layers, and those layers can still be separated out, just open the picture in photoshop or GIMP and remove the layers.

    One piece of advice I give others is to always keep the original without midifications! Save any modified photos with a different file name from the original and in a different folder. That way, you always have the original to work with.

    A last note, if you are working with someone else's photo, make sure you have permission to do so!
