Can someone tell me if i need to have someone with a FFL to order a AR-15 kit online.

The kit has no lower receiver. I know I need a ffl to get the receiver but how about the parts kit? Heres some of the kits i was talking about.

Anything except the lower receiver can be shipped directly to your house.

You can order any kit you want.... You only need the FFL holder for the lower receiver.....

In the United States, the "firearm" is only the stripped lower receiver on an AR-15. You can buy, sell and makes as many parts kits as you like without FFL approval. You'll only need to get in touch with one when you buy the stripped lower.

Remember if you live in a state with an Assault Weapon Ban (CA, MA, NY and others) you may have to omit certain features on your rifle. Check your state law to be sure.

Most states, once you get a kit from the net and a stripped lower from your local gun shop, you're GTG.

The only time you need an FFL holder is when ordering the receiver. Parts kits do not need to be transfered. They can be shipped directly to your home.
