Dear HR Director:

I read in the employment section at www.PennySaverUSA.com your need for a personal attendant to help adults with developmental disabilities in several of your locations. I am a 25yr old married woman who is very responsible and loving. I speak fluent English and Spanish.

I have worked with adults of different ages with various levels of developmental disabilities my two years and a half at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County in New Jersey. This position interests me very much because I enjoy assisting people and making them feel good about themselves, that is why I stayed with my previous job for so long. I have enclosed my resume with this letter were you can see I went through a lot of training for my previous job.

In addition to this practical experience, I have been working with a child of age 13 since February 2008 that is also developmentally disabled. I am confident that my years of experience make me an excellent candidate for your job.

To further acquaint you with the specifics of my background I am enclosing my resume. I hope you will consider me for this position. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing my qualifications and experience in more detail.

Sincerely yours,

[NAME]

  1. It sounds well written to me! I don't think you need to put the Enclosure: Resume bit on the end, though, as that's explained in the letter.

Also, when it says 'I have enclosed my resume with this letter were you can see I went through a lot of training for my previous job' it should say where, not were.

Sorry if I'm being too picky.

Good luck with getting the job, it sounds like you're well qualified for it. :)
