Can someone tell me if theres an INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE and what about international driving permits?

i read that thers nothing as international driving license(IDL) but an international driving permit(IDP). Am d**n confused now

all the International driver permit is just your license information

translated into 12 different languages

in most countries you have to be in possession of both

to drive in some country

other countries will honor your states drivers license (like Canada)

there is *no International drivers License* (for those those lost their license due to DUI or too many tickets)if you see ads

for them they are scams

You must be a licensed driver in your own country, then you can obtain an international permit (which some call an international license) which will be honored by foreign countries while driving there. However, for the permit to be valid and recognized, you must also have your regular driving license with it.
