Question:

Can someone tell me information about hydrogen cars?

I try to look it up on the web, but I keep on finding long long essays and reports with big words. Can someone tell me the cost of hydrogen fuel per gallon, the MPG of hydrogen fuel, where you can fill up your car, estimates of prices/fill-up locations in the future, and if this is just a west coast thing and people on the east coast (like me) will ever be able to use a hydrogen car.

  1. Hello my dear!

There are good websites on this subject and one of the best and very practical is this one:

There is an email course for free (english- 7 days)

where you get all the information you need to

    understand this technology.

You can build it yourself for about $60.

    Or choose from different suppliers.

Click on this link to go and read it:

  2. Right now the cost of hydrogen is about 5 times the cost of other fuels. You can not simply go fill up with hydrogen yet unless your involved with a special project. Some utility and auto companies are experimenting with fuel cell powered vehicles and hydrogen is used as fuel for fuel cells.

Right now hydrogen fuel cell cars are hand built and cost close to a million dollars each because they are just being used for experiments. They are fueled up at special stations built just for the experimental cars. Handling hydrogen requires special equipment that is not commonly available to consumers yet and probably will not be anytime soon.

Hydrogen can be burned in a regular engine if the fuel system has been modified but there is no advantage to doing that, natural gas would do the same thing more safely and cost a lot less. The promise of hydrogen is that it can make electricity in fuel cells to power electric vehicles very efficiently.

There are a few people I see answering questions that are offering to sell you information to make your own "free hydrogen", they are at best wrong and at worse dangerous. Hydrogen is similar to natural gas but much more explosive, it is not something that can be handled safely without the right equipment and knowledge. Hydrogen used in industry is made from natural gas, the methods you see suggested to make your own hydrogen do work but are very expensive and not practical for real use, and some are dangerous.

Hydrogen may be a practical fuel someday, but not now. I think other fuels will be more practical than hydrogen even in the future but time will tell. There is no hydrogen in nature that is free to use. We will always have to use another fuel to separate hydrogen from oxygen or other chemicals.

  3. Hydrogen is the most explosive gas there is. If u have a wreck u will probably die and every thing in the block is smashed.
