  1. Dance Dance Revolution in its many forms got started as an arcade video game in Korea, I believe. It was imported to the USA by mega-video game distributor Konami. When Konami released the game for home use, the series was translated to the Playstation series first. There are three games for the original Playstation: DDR, DDR Konamix (hard), and DDR Disney Mix (easy). Many more titles were produced for the Playstation 2, and one was recently released for Playstation 3. Only recently have the DDR titles been translated into the XBox and GameCube systems. As of this date I don't believe they have come out with a title for the Wii system.

The game itself is not that expensive. The prices for DDR are comparable to that of other video games. Unlike other games, though, you will need a dance pad, which usually runs US$20 to US$40. The dance pad plugs into the same socket that your controller usually plugs into, so you don't need any other special equipment. Of course, you must have a Playstation console or other system that runs the game. Prices for the consoles will vary depending on what you get and where you live. - LJS
