What you might find helpful is the following site:

They provided a review of web brokerage houses, and then compare them for things like fees, network reliability, research materials, etc.

This site is considered an investor educational site ... offers great info.

I use sharebuilder.com. There are several others. Check out an issue of Money magazine. There will be dozens of advertisements of companies that you've probably heard of.
