TGV is a high speed passenger system, they do not move freight or agricultural products.

Although it is an expensive system to install, the benefits to the economy both locally and nationally is considerable.

As air travel gets more expesnive and congested, more countries are turning to high speed rail and it's efficiency for short and intermediate travels.
