Can someone tell me what button MTS/SAP on the tv remote is used for?

I can't find it in my manual and it just started appearing recently when I change the channel.

SAP is Second Audio Program.  It's a second audio channel that is usually used for a second language or descriptive audio for the visually impaired.  MTS stands for Multichannel Television Sound - basically the same thing.

I know that the SAP button changes the show/movie language to Spanish.
