  1. Primary teachers don't normally specialise in one subject because the children in their class learn a little bit of everything.  That said you could get a degree in IT and then do a PGCE (Post Grad Certificate of Education (Primary Years)).  The other way of becoming a Primary teacher is to do a Bachelor of Education degree but in neither case will you normally get to teach IT only.

    To be an IT teacher in a secondary school you would definitely need an IT degree and then would need to do a PGCE for Secondary Years.  This is because at secondary schools you have dedicated teachers for each subject so need to be specialised in yours (have an IT degree) to teach it.

    I don't know about Social Work!
