Can someone tell me what the relation there is between marketing and interior design?

When u are marketing, ur taking a product and putting it on a pedestal while giving value to the buyer to purchase the product. how u make the buyer purchase depends on ONEs skill on how he/she brings value to the buyer. Being an Interior Designer, ur product is your design. So how you decorate things and how you bring values to other people while givign them meaning with your design comes with marketing skills. theres the relation

Hi,

There are many ways to market a small business on the web.  You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC.  However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.

Marketing is the projecting and selling of a company's philosophy, products and brand. Interior design is to arrange and decorate your office or house to make it conducive to work and live in. Marketing through a marketing and sales department. Interior design through your talents and skills to design your office and home.

Presumably marketing is getting/pitching your product or service to that part of the market that wants to buy your product or service. So in interior design it is no good to try and market a bachelor pad to an elderly couple.
