  1. Yesterday is history.  Tomorrow is a mystery.  And today?  Today is a gift.  That's why we call it the present.  ~Babatunde Olatunji

  2. In the 1902 book, "Sun Dials and Roses of Yesterday: Garden Delights..." by Alice Morse Earle,  "Time Waits for No Man" is how the original quote starts the above is only an excerpt

  3. all that is past is part of history

tomorrow is still mystery-- we don't know what's ahead

though we plan what to do tomorrow.

today is a gift--always could been because it is the present--this is important, cherish everything in today, the people, friend, coworkers, neighbors, your pets...

when today becomes yesterday it's gone and it is nonsense,

in short make every day, today a very special day, because today will become yesterday and will be buried in history.

  4. This is a frustrating one.  It seems to be attributed to both Eleanor Rooseveld and Babatunde Olatunji- the Nigerian born musician and poet.

  5. Not sure where it's from originally, but, it's been going around the net, in emails, for years.. Like so many other things, this quote is usually attributed to someone famous, and, as often as not, they're not the original writer. But, it's still a great quote, no matter where it came from.
