So its 7 am. I haven't slept. I won't allow myself to sleep either. I feel guilty about it. It's similar to when I would feel guilty about eating. I wouldn't allow myself to eat for days. Then I would eat a whole bunch of things and feel guilty about that so I would make myself throw it up... it was so horrid! Now it has advanced to sleeping problems. I won't allow myself to sleep anymore. I cry all the time. And I feel like I have no one at all. My parents sorta know what's going on but they really don't care. I have hit rock bottom and I feel like I'm spiraling out of control! What should I do? I have no one to talk to or confide in. I feel so lonely! My home life isn't the best so my friends were always my salvation, but I don't have any anymore because it is summer and I am in between two different schools and no one from my old school will talk to me bc I sort of left without saying good bye and I just feel horrible! can anyone tell me what is going on with me? I don't know its like my emotions run faster then my Brain can process.Help?

  1. Please talk to your parents, even if you feel they don't care  & get medical advise ASAP!

Sounds like they're are things going on in your life that you feel you can't control (some things we just can't), but you can control eating and sleeping. Sorry you're going through this, please talk to someone.

  2. It sounds like you get compulsions? Like OCD? And at first it was eating but now its sleeping... why don't you want to sleep? Eating, fine, understandable, treatable... but sleeping? Why do you feel guilty about that? When you can come up with a reason, you can find an answer.

You could also be depressed. Has something happened in the last few months that you couldn't control? Of course - you're moving schools. You're probably depressed because you don't want to leave all the friends that you knew and counted on. You're also probably anxious about the new school. Don't worry - I've been there, and you'll find friends, even if you take a year to adjust.

Of course, you get a high five for realizing you have a problem.

  3. I'm really sorry you feel this way! I've felt the same way before, and I hope I can help.

Try thinking. Just think. Think about why you feel guilty. Think about why you're sad. To resolve your problem, you first need to know your motives! It seems that you're lacking in self-confidence, causing your guilt. If you're lonely, you can think to yourself (some call it journaling, I prefer to mentally "journal" :P) or talk to someone you can be open with. I'm sure your parents would love to help you with what you're going through.

Find motivation! Set goals. Write a list of all of your strengths, passions, and aspirations. Get going! Use them to your advantage. Pick up a new hobby. Smile for no reason. Our minds are so powerful!

If nothing seems to work (and you've really tried!), you could see a psychologist. These professionals can really help you and let you know wheter you really need medication. Many people suffering from depression/anxiety resort to prescriptions right away. Drugs can alleviate some of your pain, but in the long run, your problems have a root and you need to find it before you can move on!

Sorry if I rambled ;). If you want to talk, I'm here!

  4. you should really call a psychiatrist because you need to be on some kind of antidepressant or mood stabilizer something. sleep is EXTREMELY important for your sanity, i would know i don't sleep but 5 or 6 hours a week due to "bi polar" (current diagnosis). before you can feel better at all you have to sleep.

  5. It sounds like you may need to go to a therapist.  You may have issues with depression and control.

  6. Sounds like you have a least a bit of depression, and get symptoms of anorexia, and insomnia. I think you should ask your parents to let you go see a councilor so you can at least talk to someone who can help you out with these sort of problems. Even if you'll feel guilty try eating at least a little bit every couple of hours. If you don't you're going to make yourself severely sick, and which is probably messing with your sleep as well.
