Maybe players meet in a restaurant or somewhere they can just play quietly in a corner and not get kicked out. I'm visiting Victoria with a severe chess addict--even other chesters say he is a bad case. He was one 7th in chess's country of origin so he's a very high level player and especially is fond of speed chess.
If you can advise how we might learn how he can play in Victoria a week from Saturday, October 27th, you can save this poor man from suffering withdrawl. Even one very good player for a few matches would surely help.
He is an exceptionally well-behaved presentable professional with no other addictions, no smoking, no drinking etc. I'd be very grateful for this information, someone to contact, something. I tried meetup and couldn't even find chess!
