Can someone tell me where can i find information about historical depressions in Venezuela?

  1. I did a quick google search and unfortunately, all the information I found was extremely biased and not very accurate. Is this for a homework?

    All I can tell you that there's been three dates in our recent history have marked periods of deep recession in Venezuela, those are:

    February 18th, 1983: also known as Black Friday when we had the first big devaluation of our currency.

    February 27th-28th, 1989: civil unrest protesting strong economic measures like eliminating subsidies.

    February 4th, 1992: attempt coup-d'etat from our current president Hugo Chavez. It failed  but he got elected 6 years later and has been in office for almost a decade.

    December 2002: a one month general strike in protest of Hugo Chavez's oil policies failed but it did manage to take us to a deep recession.
