  1. hi dude, .22 for hunting . .177 target

  2. they are both affective  if I was i would go for the cheaper bullet if you intend to shoot alot but the .22 packs more of a punch

  3. depends on the application, a .22 would have greater mass, but a .177 means a smaller gun.

  4. Neither is "better" in the general sense.

The .177 caliber pellet air rifles are more common (so is the availabilty off ammunition). Some (not all) .22 caliber air rifles are built with hunting (pest control) in mind.

The .177 caliber round is lighter, and will not "drop" as fast in it's arc during flight (shoots "flat-er"). But, the .22 has more mass (weight) and will transfer more force to it's intended target.

There is a lot of selection one the supplier linked below.

If our looking for a target rifle..I would consider going with a quality .177 caliber rifle. If you intend to kill small game, I would consider going with the .22

  5. The answer depends on the final application of the pellet.

A .177 pellet is the choice for field target and paper target disaplins. However it is unsuitable for humane quarry dispatch. Therefore the .22 is better for pest control but unsuitable for target shooting.

  6. the 177. is alot more popular meaning you can find all different kinda of pellets almost anywhere. The 177. shoots faster and a little flatter. The 22. has a bigger pellet and which will hit harder and kill the target faster
