  1. they are called the libero and are allowed to go in and out of the game without a substitution. This person is usually one of the best back row passers. Liberos are only allowed to serve for one rotation, and are prohibited from playing front row.

    hope i could help :]

  2. Because they're the Libero. The defensive specialist. They only play back row and they can only serve in some divisions. Other's they can't.

  3. be cause they may be the captian...

  4. they are called a libero they only play in the back row and have there own set of rules along with the standard rules. they are the best passer on the team and are the fastest as well you have to be a baller to be a libero ;)

  5. This is the libero.  A libero is a back row player, also known as a defensive specialist.  Normally a libero is the best passer on the team.  Libero's can sub in at any time without having to do the normal subbing process(standing and placing your hand on the team mates hand that you are subbing for while someone writes down the numbers of those players)

  6. that person is called the libero or defensive specialist (ds).

they can only play backrow and they "specialize in defensive plays".

thus, they aim mainly to dig the ball and pass it to the setters.

they are able to play any position in the backrow for any player and they are allowed to serve for only one player.

  7. That is the libero.  They are a defensive specialist.  They cannot attack a ball from above the height of the net and can't hand set a ball from in front of the 10ft line.  They can take the back row spot of any player without counting as a sub.

  8. the person with a different colored shirt....is either called the libero or a D.S.....meaning defensive specialist....they play backrow the whole time and it is there job to get all those hard balls that are hit into corners or in open spots on the court.....this person is an amazing passer and will get to those balls everyone thought impossible to get!!!

  9. It's the Libero. They can go in for any  player on the team in the back row.

  10. its called the libero.

very good in back row. now they are allowed to serve.

and dont think that all liberos have to be short cuz they can get

down there. cuz i am a middle front row hitter. and im also

the strongest back row person in my team.

  11. its the labero.... if i spelled it right...

  12. okay, so the person wearing the different color shirt is the libero/defense specialist. I play this position so i know alot about it. haha!

First of all, the libero is usually the best passer on the team.

She can sub in and out as many times as she wants without having to be marked as a substitution.

The libero can now serve but still cannot go front row.

The libero can go in for ANYONE on the court as long as shes back row.

Since the libero is the Best passer on the team, the server trys not to serve it to her or else it would be an easy pass.

well, hope that helped! If u wanna ask me more questions, just ask away!

  13. The person is called the libero. That is all I know, and I only know that because I have a friend on the volleyball team at school

  14. because that person can rotate n and out for any person in the game....i think

  15. this person is called the libero.  she/he are not the strongest front row player, and he/she can only play the back row.  the libero is often very short and can bend down very far to get the ball.  this person can down ball, which is a back row spike, but he/she cannot jump.  you can only jump if you are over the ten foot line.  when a setter is going to set the libero, they normally yell RED;  this shows that the libero should be ready to down ball.  the libero isn't always a strong player, hense libero is her/his position.  the libero normally goes in for the middle players, but he/she may also go in for the outside hitters.

  16. because your on different teams or from different schools

also because they won't know if your on their team

  17. The position is the Libero.

It is different from the DS which means Defensive Specialist.

The libero is often the best passer on the team but not always.

They wear a different color jersey because there are different rules that apply.

Libero's can sub for anyone who is in the back row.

They can't be in the 2,3, or 4 spot. (in an actual rotation)

They can't overhead set infront of the 10ft line, but they can bump set from infront of it.

They can hit(as long as they are below the tape of the net)

They can sub for more than one position, where as all other players have to stay in the same position.

They can serve. (But only from one position)

They often take the place of the middle front.(but as said earlier can sub for anyone)

They don't count as an actual sub.

They have to sub BEHIND the 10ft line instead of infront like every other sub.

    Hope this helps!

  18. that person can only play back row in the game
