  1. Because thinking for themselves, paying their own bills, raising their own children...   is too hard and stressful.....

crazy as it seems, that way they do not have to be responsible.

  2. Who is calling for higher taxes for you?  Do you make over $300,000 a year?  We already have the largest government in our entire history.  And, we are paying more to China and the oil corporations.  At least  getting out of Iraq would stop all the money flowing and leaking to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, China and the oil industry.

  3. In the hope that equality might be attained and the disparity between rich and poor would be narrowed .... Unfortunately the greed & nature of mankind seems to make this an unattainable dream.

EDIT:  [in counter response to *** Ubuntu Linux  *** I hope your father counts himself as fortunate that he was in the position to be able to attend further education / and have a job that offers satisfaction and is rewarding.

You need to bear in mind the fact that not all individuals start on an equal playin field right from the womb our upbringing and socialisation process and general internal resilience varies and determins how we get through life.

But just because a person isn't brought up to obtain or aim for a degree etc should not mean that he is any less of an individual and unworthy of the pleasures that life has to offer the very same person who has manages to obtain a doctorate!

You should remember that a few changes in your life circumstances could render you impotent in many a way .... mental incapacity springs to mind - and it is only by grace some of us have not fallen by the wayside.

Life is for living and the quality of it should not really be curtailed by such things as rank / money / status / education / access to healthcare / job etc etc etc.

  4. To get one's country out of the deep assed debt of this administration?  So our dollar will be valued a little more than a stale t**d?  You think?

  5. Always and foremost, the very first thing a Democrat does when elected is try and raise taxes, its in their playbook, has anyone ever heard of a democrats cutting taxes, except for John F. Kennedy, who would be a Republican today

  6. 95% will see a lowering of taxes. I don't see government in my daily life, do you?

I took care of my own children, pay my own bills and make my own money through hard work. Don't insult me.

  7. It's not a question of size or amount, like anything else it's value received.

The Scandinavian countries have high taxes and big government and their happy with it. Their governments cover health care, maternity costs, reasonable pensions and lots of other services. And forget the BS about stifling innovation, some of the most progressive companies in the world a based there.

On the other hand, half their budget doesn't go toward defense, or paying off the debt of previous administrations.

  8. Could it be because you voted for Bush who has increased the size of government and while reducing income tax, has force property, and state taxes to rise?

  9. what do you mean by bigger government?  I just want to pay taxes so I can fill in the deficit for my future children.  I don't want them to live in a country that's any worse than the one I live in now.  You call that irresponsible?  I don't want the government to raise my children.  I want it to raise children whose parents are incapable of or don't have the means to do it on their own.  Is taking care of your neighbor irresponsible?  Is it not in the bible, which conservatives hold so dearly?  I agree with you to a certain extent.  The government alone should not have too much power, but it should be shared more equally with the people.  The government you seem to fear so much is right next door to the north.  Canada's pretty happy these days.  Universal health care, low crime rates, low poverty rates, high literacy rates, good economic growth.  They pay taxes out the butt up there, but they get it right back because the government has its priorities straight, unlike a certain United States.  That first answerer thought that liberal economic policy is irresponsible, while I believe that Bushonomics is the height of irresponsibility.  lowering taxes and increasing spending is irresponsible.  sending thousands of troops to their deaths in iraq without reasonable evidence of WMD's is irresponsible.  wanting to send thousands more troops is irresponsible.  letting saudi arabian terrorists get away with attacking us on 9/11 is irresponsible.  letting blackwater and halliburton profit from the war is irresponsible.  I could list like this for hours...

  10. Yes, Bush can tell you.  Because that's exactly what he's done.  Cranked up (American) taxes and increased the size of the (Iraqi) government.

  11. ok lets get this clear...

    1. we are 9 trillion dollars in debt

2.bush lowered taxes to the top 2% thinking that that would create an economic stimulus however the rich held on to the money instead of spending it.

    3. no one likes it but someone has to pay off that debt

    4. iraq war equals higher taxes-bush passed it on to the next generation...china right now probably owns my house

5.but there is also a strategic reason to raise taxes...if the economy is growing too quickly...raising taxes (contractionary policy) slows the economy down.

    6. i am assuming by big government you mean when dems are in power they use fed gov while usually republicans cater toward state govs.

    7. half of all swiss earnings go to taxes but they are socialist remember-random fact

  12. because america is turning into socalists hand money to the government and they make everyone equal just like in china were a doctor makes as much as an factory worker

o in response to ritzy that narrowing the gap between rich and poor is litteraly what  communism is my father spent 6 years in college so our family dose not have to live in middle class and your saying some dumb *** high school drop out that works shipping on the graveyard shift should make as much as my family just because its nice..

  13. So many folks think they will not be included in higher taxes, but what they don't realize is that when the Bush tax cuts are no longer, everyone will see a huge increase.  Obama plans  even more taxes on top of that!  Our economy will be worse off than ever.

  14. so mommy and daddy can take care of them
