I need to know about the transfer limitations on EOP, HEOP, SEEK and CD. Also if there is any information that you can give me about any of these programs I would greatly appreciate it.

I am trying to gather as much information about these programs so I can send my younger brother to school.

  1. Yes and no.

It is possible to transfer from EOP to HEOP but be aware that the financial package will change as schools with HEOP are private and being so generally require their students to pay a small amount back in loans to the school.

EOP, HEOP, SEEK, and CD are all the same programs. The only difference is where they're located in.

EOP=Education Opportunity Program. This is found in SUNY schools.

HEOP=Higher Education Opportunity Program. Found in private schools.

CD= College Discovery. Old name for EOP.

SEEK= Search for Education, Elevation and Knowledge. Reserved for CUNY schools.

Admission into any of these require you to make below a certain amount of money and to meet certain academic standards and be interviewed. It is hard to get accepted into these programs as the acceptance rate at each school is roughly 3-5%,
