  1. Sure, as long as they are an employee and not the owner, they'd be covered for unemployment.  Someone who is self employed isn't covered, though.


  2. Certainly. (Been there, done that.)

  3. Of course.  But unemployment benefits have a maximum payment amount, so it may not be any where near what you are used to being paid.  My sister was making just over 100k a year.  When her position was eliminated and she filed for unemployment, she received the max.... $420 a week.
