Someone who is lactose intolerate can have a little bit of chocloate (not that much), no cheese, or milk (except soy). A friend of mine recently became a vegan and has been telling me about the products (and recipes) don't contain milk, eggs, cheese or anything from animals. (By the way, if I wasn't such a picky eater i'd probably be a vegan too.) Would they be able to eat vegan recipes because they don't unclude dairy products? Or, are there other products they can't have in vegan recipes? Thank you for helping me on this.

If you are a vegan, I fully support your choice to not eat products from animals. Most vegan recipes are pretty good, too! Thanks!! :)

If you are lactose intolerate, you're not alone. :)

  1. I would think that would be a great diet.

  2. actually, a vegan diet would be IDEAL for a person with lactose intolerance.  i'm lactose intolerant myself, and i'm a vegetarian.  i would like to go vegan eventually because i think it would be the best diet for my body.

vegan diets don't include dairy AT ALL, so you would be lactose-free!!  my fave vegan recipes that are lactose free tend to be stir-fry's....they're really easy and there are endless possibilities!

as long as you don't have any other food allergies you could try any vegan recipe and it would not aggravate your lactose intolerance.  enjoy =D

  3. actually it would fit that sort of person perfectly because it would't contain any animal products and milk is an animal product, eggs, cream,

  4. I think you answered your own question...I am a little confused.  Do you want to know if you can eat a vegan recipe if you are lactose intolerant?  Yes you can.  Vegans don't consume lactose, so all vegan recipes are good for a person who is allergic.

  5. Yup, vegan foods are lactose-free and suitable for people with lactose intolerance... assuming that you don't have any other food restrictions or allergies.

Here's a list of some vegan / lactose-free products you might enjoy: http://www.vegcooking.com/guide-favs.asp

There's everything from vegan cream cheese to vegan yogurt!

  6. I am not lactose intolerant.. but I am CRUELTY intolerant. Dear, I can assure you that any product deemed "VEGAN" is suitable for those who suffer from lactose intolerance.

BY THE WAY! Just a FYI, 100% of humans were once LACTOSE INTOLERANT. Some northern Europeans thought it was a good idea to introduce cow pus into their diets to get some vitamins that the baby calf requires. This was thousands of years ago. And yes, up to this day, few people's bodies have REALLY adapted to tolerating an animal's breast milk. Really, I would go as far as saying milk is worse than eating meat, health-wise and ethic-wise. Cows are treated horribly for their milk.

  7. If something is vegan, it is absolutely lactose-free.  Lactose is in mammals' milk.  Vegans don't consume mammals' milk.  Unless this person has other allergies for food intolerances, something that is vegan would definitely be suitable for him/her.

  8. Those who are lactose intolerant can eat vegan recipes, there should be no problems unless the have other alergies. =]
