  1. they could drive but safely no not at all safe. signs saying road works ahead how far and what speed to do. pedestrian crossings. school zones etc.. memorising signs can be done but when the digital type signs that display messages would proof dangerous.. then when it come to putting fuel in the car they would have no hope. and they have no chance of passing a licence test

  2. yes, they could probably drive.

however, it would not be completely safe because of things like street signs and detours they cannot read. sure, it would be easy to memorize common ones, but not unexpected signs or locations.

  3. Yes. Of course, they can if they hold a license. The traffic symbols have been put only for people to picturize them fast like speed breakers, left turn etc. It is not necessary only literates can understand that. Once someone can learn these symbols and get a license, they can drive it safely. In our place, many are illiterate but yet are best drivers.

  4. sure you just need to follow this thread to know that<

  5. Yes.  Slightly easier in Canada where they use pictures to indicate "No Right Turn" "No Left Turn" than the US where they use words to indicate restrictons.

  6. That is a good question and the answer is yes, we see them everyday driving to and from work.......
