Can someone who knows about the AR-15 tell me if this would make a good gift?

This is not my area of expertise.

The gun is currently used only for home defense.

These three together:

Thanks for any advice!

  1. It would be an excellent gift for someone who has a use for it and is not something I would choose for home defense, 5-shot Remington, please.  If I felt I needed something like that, I'd find a new neighborhood.

  2. The thought is very nice. Do you think the AR owner would like those things?

  3. I would be happy for a AR-15:)

  4. I think it's fine although a quad rail hand gaurd would not be my personal choice. I have a free floated hand gaurd on my AR. I like it better but free floats are more difficult to install.

The sure fire light is a good choice they are the best flashlights.

Check out some other Vertical foregrips to see if you can find some with a tape switch cut out.

I get a lot of my AR stuff from Ranier Arms:

    Good quality stuff there:

    Good luck

  5. If you buy the Quad Rail you don't need the front grip. Look around for a light that will mount to the rail.  Check out Midway USA.

  6. Yes, those would make a good gift. Make sure that the AR-15 you are buying these products for takes the M4 forearm. I personally prefer a round, machined aluminum foregrip instead of the one that holds the light and a light that either mounts to the forearm or the barrel.
