  1. Bridgeland is a master planned community that they have just started building.  It will be building out for many years to come.  We drove thru there and saw some questionable building techniques on the more affordably priced homes.  If you want to buy a home in that neighborhood I would just have an inspector that knows his stuff about flashing to check it out thoroughly.  It's in the Cy-Fair school district which is a rapidly growing district due to all the new housing.  That particular area will be mostly Caucasian if that matters to you.

Coles Crossing is another one that is not that old of a neighborhood but old enough that some of the trees have started coming in.  They have a nice mixture of home styles so you can tell your house apart from the neighbors.  Also in a good school district.  Mostly Caucasian and Hispanic neighborhood.  Fairfield is further out.  Another master planned community.  I would not live there unless I worked somewhere in the area.  They are still building out there as well.  They just opened the new outlet mall so I'm sure traffic has increased around some of the newer subdivisions they are building out.

I believe Longwood Village is an older established neighborhood where home values have remained high.  I have not looked in there because they are out of my price range.

The whole area is very undiversified if that is what you are after.  We have friends that moved out to Fairfield because they wanted their child in a mostly white school.  I don't agree with that--we live in the inner city.  While I won't be sending my child to public school, he will get a diversified experience even in my inner city private school.  Kids need to learn to get along with all races.

If you are going to be working downtown, if you choose Bridgeland, Coles Crossing or Longwood, you won't be far from the new park and ride they just built.  If you look at the map it's the Cypress Park and Ride.

  2. I have a friend who lives in Fairfield. His house has gone from 160 to 225 in the last 5 years. The amenities are unreal. I'd recommend anyone to buy there.
