How difficult is it to learn a flare? Can someone who has never done gymnastics or breakdanced in the past learn to do it? And tips on how to get it started?

  1. its EXTREMELY hard going from no where to doin a flare. i suggest u doing other breakdancing moves that can increase ur balance and strength before starting hte flare. but if u really want to no one can stop u. its just gonna be very frustrating and hard. but go for it!

  2. gymnasts do amazing flares. but ok there are some differences coz people do them supposedly "wrong" but its just differences. for a proper flare as you come all the way around when your legs get to the back you want to raise your hips and then as you come around they sorta of go back to normal, its harder to learn but it means you have lots more momentum to keep doing more and more, this is why gymnasts seem to do never ending amounts. but to answer your question i would say flares are a very difficult move to execute but go for your life because theres absoluty nothing stopping you!

    goodluck!

  3. The way i started was start slowly (i taught my self how to dance my watching videos off of youtube LOL!) I would do it in slow mo then everyday go faster and faster and now i got it!

  4. Yes. It will not be easy. My friend with no bboying experience took one year to learn a flare. That was just one.
