Can someone with a BA in History work as an analyst?

I'm graduating in December with a BA history. I'm eager to work. I live in NYC. Could I teach in private or public schools?

You're asking 2 questions for the price of one > do you want to be an analyst?  or a teacher?

If you're about to graduate in 3 months, it's a little late to start thinking about careers don't you think?  Most employers would read this as a sign of not doing due diligence when it comes to preparations.

To be a teacher, most opportunities would be at the high school level, & would require you to be certified, if you're seeking full time employment.

Analyst work in NYC would mostly have to deal with securities, investments & mergers & acquisitions > usually requires an MBA.
