Can someone with a learners permit drive out of state?

I am going on a vacation and want to drive there. but we are changing states. Anyone know the rule???

  1. You need to check with the states you'll be driving through.  More than likely, it won't be an issue, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

    Also, you would need a licensed driver over the age of 21 in the vehicle with you, if they do allow it, more than likely.

  3. a learners permit is ONLY valid in the state that it was issued.  Driving out of state on a learners permit, is driving illegally.

  4. i varies by state.  to err on the side of caution, you need to call the Department of Motor Vehicles of the particular state but i think there are only about 15 states that don't allow it.
