  1. The idea of Marx putting it simply is the preponderance of the general needs over the individual needs. In other words, is more important the needs of the people in general, than the individual needs. The individual is expendable relative to the common need. You can see that in Cuba, China and the former Soviet Union.

His ideology was based off of his dialectic materialism and he wanted communism.  He thought that communism could be achieved by going through the various stages of historical governments starting with primitive communism then slave society then feudal system then capitalism and finally communism.

  3. At first let me admit that I also don't know much about Marx's ideology. What I'm going to say is nothing but a simplification. Marx wanted a society based on co-operation rather than competition. He advocated full control of state on everything. But this state is not the oppressive machinery with which we are familiar. This state is governed by the Proletariat (the deprived class). And it has the chief task of distributing its wealth from "everyone according to her/his capacity" to "everyone according to her/his needs". Marxist philosophers believe that this system is the best one to weed inequality. Marx also spoke in favour of internationalism and women's freedom.
