I took an aspirin to get rid of a headache before I went to a party, without thinking. I went to the party and drank. It wasn't until after that I realized that it might be a bad combo. What could happen? I am only asking because the bottle of aspirin says "Do not take with alcohol".

  1. Liver damage can occur from taking aspirin with alcohol. Since aspirin and alcohol are both processed in the liver, the liver can become overloaded and literally shut down (in extreme cases). Taking one aspirin with a reasonable amount of alcohol should not cause any long-term damage, so don't worry! I wouldn't recommend repeating the combination, however, since over time can cause cirrhosis of the liver.

  2. I feel real bad for you.

  3. nothing is going to happen to you.. unless you have gout.  LOL ASPIRIN PLUS ALCOHOL.. realyl really bad for gout.
