Can somone not in high school take tests similar/or like AP(advanced placement)?

I'm in college right now and have to take a history class (US HIST 101) to transfer to a State University... but I want to know if there's test that one can take to get university credits?

its called a CLEP test ask your local college if they offer it you just take a test and if you pass you get the credit for the class a lot of schools have them but they only give you credit for the class at that specific school they may not transfer over if you don't transfer over a degree to your new school but I would look into that if I were you.
