  1. why would u keep it alive. all they do is bite people, like me!!!lol

  2. My husband is a Termnix Guy - He said the spider will not grow its leg back but it can survive.  Just feed it insects such as grasshoppers, etc.

  3. The largest danger a spider deals with in the loss of a limb is fluid loss. Their blood is blue and if a limb is lost the opening must seal off or the animal continues to bleed. They can lose a number of legs and still live although the more that are lost the less able the animal is to move around or capture prey.

The basic rule for survival in this case is that it must have at least 3 or 4 legs present in some combination, preferably distributed on both sides, so it can struggle around enough to eat.

  4. Spiders can not regrow legs.

  5. With each molting, spiders can regrow a little of their legs back.  If the spider still has quite a few moltings left in it's life time, it can regrow all legs back!

All arthropods have to shed their exoskeleton as they grow, this is molting.
