  1. yes. Georgia's capital is Atlanta. It used to be Milledgeville, along with a couple other cities too

  3. Yes they can, and new states have historically changed capitals multiple times. However, this is very expensive as all state buildings must be relocated to another city; and seeing as all of our nation's fifty states are well established, it is hard to see this happening at any point in the foreseeable future

  6. Well i know back in the day, the capitol of Georgia was Augusta, but as Atlanta grew it became the capitol, these days i don't know, just thought I'd throw that at ya.

  8. It's not likely to happen now due to expense, much larger government infrastructure, and much greater population.  But, in California, for example, the capital has been in Monterey, San Jose, Benicia, Vallejo and Sacramento.
