  1. When in doubt, call and ask. It'll save you a bit of discretion and them the time. Worst thing they'd say is to swing by and grab up a new container and you'll have to get a fresh sample for them.

Note if they ask for your name before answering you. It is important that they tell you based on the charts and notes the doctor took of why they are having you get a sample. And if they tell you it should be fine make sure you still explain your concerns when you're in there one more time. Sometimes one more person will be there to double check for you.

Having them check your records is important. Sometimes the nurses assume you know (or even that they'd somehow know) what they will be running tests for when the doctor may have not even told you everything they want to check for. It will insure you get the right results. Any respective health care practitioner would not mind obliging you.

  2. I guess it would depend on what they were looking for ...blood would still be detected so would a parasite..I would be a little worried if they were looking for a bacteria..but it was sealed properly I would say you are fine...if not They would as you for another sample

  3. poo is poo dear.  they'll rehydrate it and put some under a microscope to look for blood or other bacteria.  If you're not sure, you can always taste it.  juuuuuuust kidding.
