if substitoad is on the field is he treated as a faceup frog monster?

if so then he cant be destroyed by battle right?

i d k but i need some help with this for my deck

no, where does it say substitoad is a frog? it doesn't have frog in its name, "toad" doesn't count, he is not a frog
