Can sum1 on D in Bball just stay in front of O and not allowing them to move forward?

When i go in for a drive in, my friend on D goes infront of me, i cant turn or move and i cant cross ever cuz hes so close and i cant go over him or it will be charging. is he allowed to that?

yes, maybe the nba will change that rule so they can get more scoring soon.

it just means hes quicker than you, if youre bigger or stronger than him, back him down and put him in the post.

Yes it is allowed what is the point of defense if the d cant get in front of anybody



They can stop you but if you are driving to the hoop and a guy steps in front of you at the last minute then it is a charge



  You want to get as close as you can but you cant reach in and hit them

If he posts up on you and stuff, you can charge him and he'll be called for the fowl. If you don't want to do that, and he is infront of you, you need to get by him. Heres what to do, reverse dribble, do some trick to fake him out, zip by him and do a lay-up or whatever.
