Question:

Can sunglasses be hardly tinted but still have UV400 protection?

I bought some cheap sunglasses, Made in China, and they have a UV400 sticker on them. But they're hardly tinted (very slightly blue) and I had a suspicion the sticker is false. Is it possible?

Come to think of it, they aren't cheap plastic sunglasses - they're heavy, feel good in the hands. But even so, the lens seems so close to transparent... someone know the answer?
