  1. yes, it can.

  2. Yeah, if it's algae.  It could also cause green or black algae to grow on the surfaces of the aquarium.

Aquariums aren't supposed to be in the sunlight.  They aren't designed for it.  They're a small system that can't handle the growth overload caused by sunlight.

Cloudy water can also be from unsealed gravel--rinse that stuff very well before you put it in.

  3. sun light and the light on in the tank for more then 10 Hrs.  it's al algy or bacteria groth.  Just  put the light on a timer and you should be good.   Dont put anythngin the tank to get rid of it becaue it can mess the eco system in the tank.   you can do water changes that will help

  4. No my fish tank is in the sun light and it is fine.

  5. you can clean it of with your finger just not to often because its stressful but otherwise you do need light so just clean it off

  6. Excess sunlight can cause algae to grow on the sides/decorations of the tank.  I think what you are referring to is called an algal bloom.  Algal blooms turn the water a murky green since the algae is free floating.  Algal blooms happen when there is an abundance of nutrients in the water for the algae to feed on.  Uneaten fish food is the perfect fertilizer for algae.  If you want to avoid an algal bloom, don't overfeed and don't allow your phosphate level to go too high.  High phosphate levels can be helped by partial water changes.  I'm sure moving the tank out of the sun will help, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary.  I've had fish tanks near windows before without any problems.
