I think I left mouthwash (Listerine) in my mouth for too long as my teeth were hurting and I wanting to make sure it stung for as long as possible to kill every last germ in my mouth. It turned my gums white and they stayed like that for a few hours and then went l pink again. Did I do a bad thing ? Should you only swish it for a short amout of time, if so, what is the maximum it should be in your mouth for ?

Think about it, your using something to clean enamal in a mouth made of meat. Like soaking a roast in kerosene.
