Can switching birth control pills delay the period from coming even though it's on the brown pills?

I switched birth control pills a month ago, and now i am on my brown pills, but i don't think i've gotten my period and I'm barely spotting or i bled a TINY bit. But, i was spotting last week. Is this normal?

  1. Yes,  switching birth control pill brands can cause the period to be delayed even if just on the brown pills (placebo pills depending on the particular package).

    I've had it happen to me before.

Yes, that can definitely happen.  If you're not done with the brown pills, it might still be on its way without any problem, you just might be moving to getting it on a different day with this pill.  Even if you don't get it until next months brown pills, nothing to worry about.  the spotting and irregularity are normal for the first month or so because your hormone levels have to adjust.  If you're unhappy with the spotting or you don't get your period rather soon, you can call your obgyn and they'll probably have an easy solution.

  3. Yes it happened to me. Dont worry just keep going along with your pills and it will eventually come. If you get worried just contact your GP.
