Let's say you're abstinent for 6 years but all of a sudden you notice something wrong like inflammation, tenderness in the upper V area. Could it be an STD that first shows symptoms 6 years after s*x?

Please don't bother responding if it's just to say see a doctor. Thanks.

  1. Yes it is possible. The most common sign or symptoms of having a STI or STD is nothing at all.  To be perfectly sure, go get tested.

  2. check out this website...it is very informative.  has all the information you need about HIV and STDS.  http://www.sexhealthguru.com/index.php?s...

  3. see a doctor,I am not trained to diagnose any condition over the internet, and neither is anyone else, and yes it can show up 6 yrs later. Herpes

  4. herpes can be dormant for years before an outbreak...I guess they all could but highly unlikely...

  5. yes, it can be laying dormant in your system...though it's unlikely.
