cause any analgesic or anesthetic effects or cause euphoria or hallucinations

because i was wondering on how the fact that codeine has such abuse potential and also the fact that aspirin is also a pain reliever like codeine so in theory i was wondering if high doses of aspirin could be like taking codeine

  1. Don't know much, but if you take too much you hear ringing in your ears.  Also has a bad effect on your stomach -- frequent use can lead to ulcers.

  2. it cause analgesic effect however it is not an opioid analgesic such as codeine therefore will not have those effects don't think codeine has hallucogenic or euphoric effects either!  aspirin is a  COX-2 inhibitors and has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-pyretic- reduce temp. effects and so as the other guy said will affect ur stomach in the same way as ibuprofen will.so take with or after food.

For more information read the little leaflet in a box of aspirin tells u everything!
