  1. no it actually inhibits getting an o****m; it is one of the  side effects stated in the literature.

  2. This is a tough question, major depression can decrease your ability to experience pleasure and decrease your s*x drive. Taking Prozac can reverse the deficits in  your reward system and improve your libido. A side effect of Prozac is decreasing your ability to achieve orgasim (but not decreasing your s*x drive). Its very individual, you may either get your s*x drive back or you may have a more difficult time achieving orgasim.

One alternative to consider is Wellbutrin, it treats depression without sexual side effects. If s*x drive is major concern, then I would consider Wellbutrin first.

  3. It is possible, but unlikely - as one of the main side-effects of Prozac is sexual dysfunction.

This dysfunction can affect libido, arousal, o****m... and not necessarily all together e.g. some people retain libido, but lose the ability to do anything about it, others may lose the libido but maintain other aspects of sexual function.

Studies seem to report consistently high rates of sexual dysfunction, and one comprehensive investigation which looked at individuals' pre-drug sexual function followed by what happened over time on the drug, found dysfunction rates of 54-65% for four of the SSRI antidepressants (one of which was Prozac).

One of the more infrequent sexual dysfunctions is hypersexuality, so for those affected, their s*x drive can go into overdrive.
