okay, I take a lot of vitamins for brain health. I'm not sure if it's harmful to take too many different types of supplements though. I take omega 3, phosphatidyl serine, ginkgo biloba, and b complex every day. I'm assuming the outcome of consuming multiple brain supplements may only result in beneficial effects, but I'd like to be positive it's not like an overload or anything.

  1. Definitely, especially for the fat-soluble vitamins.

Fat-soluble vitamins do not break down as fast and hence too much of these things can lead to what is called "vitamin toxicity". That is, the immune system reacts to the excess amount of vitamins by attacking your body. This toxicity gets even worse with artificial vitamins because they are not really natural foods....but synthetic forms of vitamins.

Therefore, only take supplements if you are really lacking in a vitamin, not just because you are trying to enhance ingesting natural vitamins from food and supplements also as your second enhancer.

  2. YES
