Question:

Can talking (for long periods through day) leave your jaw fatigued and stiff so that it makes it hard to talk?

During the summer i pretty much had no social interaction and now i'm back in school and i've probably done more talking in one day than i've done the whole summer. I've noticed today that my jaw has seemed tired and when I start talking it seems to tighten up to the point where speaking becomes difficult. could this be normal??

  1. Absolutely is normal, though you may have a touch of TMJ, though it did not flare during summer b/c you weren't talking.  If it doesn't go away in a week, then you probably need to see a doctor.
