  1. no. is this for high school or college? if u disagree with your grade u can appeal your grade but u have to prove it. back up ur claims.

  2. I'm sure there are teachers out there that are guilty of this, and I've read stories of this going on in colleges. However, from a strictly ethical standpoint, they cannot lower your grade because they dislike you.

  3. She is not being very objective. I hope the teacher can back up the grades. Make sure that you have a copy of your work. Do go for help if you feel this has happened.

  4. they do control the part about your behaviour and attitude, and what other teachers think of you

  5. No and if you think your teaher is tell someone immediatley

  6. Sure they can! Is it ethical? No. And if no student ever challenges them regarding their grade they will continue to do it. If you feel a teacher gave you a bad grade for personal reasons, take proof (i.e. - quizzes, tests, progress reports, etc..) to the principal and challenge it. I would also suggest you take an adult with you (if you are a minor) because your grievance may not be taken as seriously if you show up alone.

  7. THEY DEFINITELY CAN! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE REAL FACES OF TEACHERS. WELL ASK SOME QUESTIONS AGAINST TEACHERS ON YAHOO ANSWERS, YOU'LL KNOW! just an experiment; take a chance

  8. officially no. depending on the course, yes.

For any math or science course, there is little subjectivity, so if you bring up your test and someone else's who had the exact same answer, but got marked differently, then it's easy to argue ur case.  However, for any arts course, it's harder because it's all subjective.

  9. technically no BUT they can be icky when it comes to the final grade. Like for example....you get a 89.6 and instead of rounding to an A they'll still give you the B because they dislike you...

  10. they just give grades that are earned

  11. No.  They can only officially give you bad grades because you earned them with the quality of your work.  That isn't to say that human emotions don't creep in and some teachers are happy to fail the "jerk" while giving credit to someone doing just as badly who is a good person.

  12. Strictly speaking, no.  But they can mark down your paper where there is no strict right or wrong answer in, say, essay in English.  The grey areas would be, your synopsis is not so good; or your style of writing is not very satisfactory, while with the scientific subjects like Maths., Physics, and Chemistry, there are definite right or wrong answers.

  13. No.
