What is the age for most hotels where you can use the fitness rooms? I'm 15 years old and an athlete and am going to the Four Seasons in Whistler, Canada. I need to work out to stay in shape. If it's over 18 would there be exceptions? Thanks

  1. I have found that almost all hotels that I've been to in the past year say "over 14".

  2. Depends on what the hotels facilities for teenagers or facilities are. Inquire about the fitness information in advance so as not to be disappointed later on.

    Hope this helps

  3. Most under 18 have to be supervised by an adult, but you would have to check with the hotel.

  4. I haven't seen much fitness rooms open for 15-year olds.  Its usually 16-18.  You could contact the owners and give them your reason, they might give you an exception. If your worried and only staying a week or a bit, just work out hard before you leave then you'll get a good rest.  Even athletes need some rest anyways.  Otherwise, you've got a pool, you can hike, and go running.  No weights though..

    The phone number for 4 seasons: 1 (604) 935-3400

  5. It varies. Check the website of the hotel, or send them an e-mail requesting more information.

  6. A polite e-mail to the hotel now could save you grief later.  Even if their policy is normally to only allow 18+ they may make and exception if you're polite.

  7. Most hotel fitness rooms have signs posted and state that you have to be 18 or over to use the equipment unless supervised by an adult. In reality, if you look old enough and you're using the equipment properly no one's going to bother you, they just don't want little kids in there getting hurt.
