  3. Yes, they can but you should be able to see indications of termite damage. More likely, the cause is loosening of glue or nails due to age and heat/cold/humidity in the home.  Also, dry rot.

  10. I think some braces or screws have fallen out over time and it became wobbly....turn it over and see what the problem is.

  11. unlikely, but yeah.  do you see mud tubes connecting the dresser to the ground or wall?  If you do, you've likely got much bigger problems than the dresser.
