I just wanted to know if the Army can change your MOS on you after you sign. And also what jobs in the army is someone less likely to be deployed? How risky is it to be an MP and what are the advantages and dis? My husband has been in the Marine Corps for 8 yrs and is now switiching over to the Army but we have questions and concerns and want to know if its worth it to us anymore. Also what are the chances of you getting the duty station you want?

  1. If your husband has 8 years in the Marine Corps why are you asking this question in Yahoo answers of all places as if you are going to get more credible advice then he already has or is able to get. Seriously come on.

  2. The Army can change your MOS for several reasons.  If you fail to complete the MOS training you can be reclassed to something else.  Also, if you are unable to meet requirements for the MOS like a security clearance or if the Army does away with that MOS entirely.

MPs deploy.  The MPs I knew helped to train the local police force.

I am not an MP so I can't tell you pros and cons.
